Reconciliation

Reconciliation
Canteen is committed to supporting national reconciliation.
Canteen acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We pay respect to Elders past, present and future. We are committed to providing inclusive and appropriate support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, their kin and community.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Canteen's second Reconciliation Action Plan describes the actions we will take to advance reconciliation at Canteen including the development of a best practice framework to ensure culturally appropriate service delivery. It outlines our ongoing commitment to strengthen, expand and draw on established relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders to ensure that Indigenous Australian cultures and voices are heard and valued.

Young Adult Reconciliation Network

We know we need to hear more from young Indigenous Australians to ensure their skills, knowledge, wisdom and social values perspectives are heard, respected and understood. In 2022, we created the Young Adult Reconciliation Network (YARN) to develop and empower young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as leaders within our organisation.
